    • Yes, so do I! The Olympics are just about people competing to win. The Paralympics are about people helping each other in every way they can, to achieve things which may seem small to the general public, but in fact are significant and life changing for all involved 🙂 If I ever feel like moaning about my life, I shall look back at these inspiring people.

      • Too right, I especially admire the ones like that Italian guy in the summer ones who was an ex F1 driver, and lost both his legs, I think and just decided to become a top para-olympian instead. And Oscar Pistoya, lining up on his blades with the able bodied athletes, that was bloody amazing too. So, so sad what happened after.

        Cheers

      • Yes, the F1 guy, Alex Zanardi, is a hero. I remember him losing his legs and his fellow F1 drivers interviewing him after a year. They were all trying not to cry and he was full of the joys of living.
And poor old Oscar Pistorius, what a horrible tragedy.
It seems some people are chosen to be exceptional, but that can also mean they suffer greatly too… 😦
